For over 20 years, the artisans at Motawi Tileworks have hand-crafted art tile. These distinctive tiles are known for their rich glazes and uniquely American designs inspired by nature, art, and architecture. Based on Carl Otto Czeschka’s textile design of an idyllic forest which was produced by Vienna’s renowned Wiener Werkstätte artist community in 1910. Long before it inspired a Motawi tile, this work of art was worn as a caftan by famed Austrian painter Gustav Klimt.
