Carved and tumbled by the North American glaciers, the ever-present field stones of New England are a continual challenge for working farmers. The small group of artisans at American Stonecraft has created a partnership with independent local farmers who supply the newly unearthed stone. These craftsmen use custom-made hand tools to slice, sculpt, and polish the stones, creating one-of-a-kind, farm-to-table serving pieces and coasters. Each stone slab is food safe and is labeled on the back with the farm of origin.
