Andrew Pearce prides himself on bringing a new voice to the age-old craft of wood bowl turning. His bowls, made with handsome proportions and exquisite craftsmanship, highlight the natural grain inherent in the finest New England hardwoods. Each of Andrew’s bowls are handcrafted and designed to be appreciated every day.
Andrew comes from a heritage of fine craftsmen. His father is the renowned glass artist Simon Pearce and his grandfather, Philip Pearce, and uncle, Stephen Pearce, are both the master potters of Shanagarry Pottery fame.
Andrew carries on the family’s talent for innovation and commitment to aesthetic and functional design. He designed and helped built the equipment in his workshop and created a process that honors the locally sourced wood of his beloved Vermont by producing very little waste, minimizing environmental impact, and encouraging forest sustainability.
